Summer Farrar

Summer Farrar joined the Midwest Innocence Project as the Project Manager in 2015. In her role, she is responsible for managing MIP’s case audits, working with experts to conduct research on the hallmarks of wrongful convictions, such as flawed forensic analysis, official misconduct, and eyewitness identification. Summer works with the legal department to support case work and with the development department to support grant applications.

 

Summer is passionate about bringing creativity to her work at MIP. Her previous roles as Case Coordinator for the Kansas City Police Crime Lab and Assistant Director at Grant Arts, a non-profit art center, gave her the ability to organize people and data and the drive to take on ambitious projects. Summer earned her Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology from the University of Missouri – Kansas City.
