Join Our Team of Volunteers

Whether you have legal experience or not, there are always opportunities to join our resistance against an unjust criminal legal system. In the fight to bring home the wrongfully incarcerated, there’s space for you.

Current Volunteer Opportunities

-Fundraising: raising money, soliciting in-kind donations, or developing community partnerships

-Tabling: help share MIP’s mission at local events

-Copywriting/graphic design: writing thank you cards and helping with MIP newsletters, promotional materials, etc.

-Event support: setup and teardown, handling guest check-in/out, serving food/drinks, donation disbursement, and more (great for those who can only volunteer a few times a year!)

Necessary Qualifications

If you’re interested in applying to become a volunteer, email Tish at You must be at least 18 years old and will need to complete an orientation. Good communication skills and flexible availability are a plus, and genuine enthusiasm and interest in MIP’s work are must-haves.
