Maclen Johnson, Administrative Assistant
Maclen joined the Midwest Innocence Project in 2023 as the administrative assistant. In their role, Maclen works closely with all departments to provide support for internal processes, IT systems, and recordkeeping to ensure their co-workers have the capacity to focus on the critical work of righting wrongful convictions.
Maclen values justice, optimism, and community advocacy – they believe no one should have to go it alone. They are dedicated to the MIP’s mission of providing legal services free of charge to its clients and education on innocence work to the community.
Maclen holds a B.A. in museum studies, political science, and history from Drury University. When they aren’t at work, they can be found overbooking their social calendar or trying out new baking recipes.
