Will Shields is more than a football legend. A 12-time Pro Bowl guard for the Kansas City Chiefs and a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Will has long been recognized for his leadership on and off the field. Beyond his NFL career, he has dedicated himself to community service and advocacy—work that has included serving on the Midwest Innocence Project’s Board of Directors.
In this month’s dispatch, Will shares why the fight against wrongful convictions matters to him, and how each of us can play a role in bringing innocent people home. His voice reminds us that justice is a team effort, and that true champions are those who stand up for fairness and freedom.
