Summer Farrar (she/her/hers), Project Manager
Summer Farrar joined the Midwest Innocence Project as the Project Manager in 2015. In her role, she is responsible for managing MIP’s case audits, working with experts to conduct research on the hallmarks of wrongful convictions, such as flawed forensic analysis and official misconduct, and supporting case work and grant applications. Summer is a Certified Practitioner of Oversight by the National Association for Civilian Oversight of Law Enforcement.
Summer is passionate about bringing creativity to her work at MIP. Her previous roles as Case Coordinator for the Kansas City Police Crime Lab and Assistant Director at Grant Arts, a non-profit art center, gave her the ability to organize people and data and the drive to take on ambitious projects. Summer is pursuing a master’s degree in Criminal Justice & Criminology from the University of Missouri, Kansas City.
