Nicole Forys joined the Midwest Innocence Project as an Intake Paralegal in 2022. Her role includes the analysis of intake questionnaires to assess criterial eligibility for MIP and partner organizations, document and record procurement, client communications, and legal file management.
Nicole’s 16 years in healthcare helped shape and sustain her passion for advocacy. Her years of working with patients of various backgrounds and circumstances have led to kindness and empathy being amongst her greatest strengths.
Nicole is currently working towards her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology at the University of Missouri, Kansas City. When’s she is not working or attending class, she can be found tending to her flower garden, enjoying time with family, and wrangling her 3 dogs.
