Marissa Todd (she/her/hers), Deputy Director
Marissa Todd joined the Midwest Innocence Project as the Deputy Director in 2022. In her role, she leads development, marketing, and finance operations to ensure MIP has the resources it needs to investigate, litigate, and exonerate wrongfully convicted people in the five-state region of Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska.
A change-agent, Marissa enjoys building programs and processes from the ground up. She has used her problem-solving skills and love of learning throughout her 15+ year career in non-profit fundraising and leadership to create efficiencies and raise money for causes she is passionate about. A collaborative leader, Marissa likes to help others find their niche and excel.
Outside of the office, Marissa is a voracious reader of all types of books. You can also find her in her kitchen, attempting new recipes and perfecting a few of her and her husband’s favorites.
A first-generation college graduate, Marissa is proud to hold two degrees from the University of Missouri, a B.A. in Political Science and a J.D., as well as an M.B.A. from Stephens College.
