Jason Shumacher

Jason Shumacher is a Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP Fellow with the Midwest Innocence Project. In this role, he focuses on reviewing and litigating wrongful conviction cases across the organization’s five-state region.

Jason earned his J.D. from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., where he served on the editorial board of the American Criminal Law Review and represented indigent criminal defendants in D.C. Superior Court.  Prior to law school, Jason received his B.A. in international affairs and Spanish from Washington University in St. Louis.

Outside of work, you can probably find Jason wandering the trails of Forest Park or watching the newest HBO drama series.  If you have some spare time, you might want to ask him about the summer he spent in Alaska or the stories he has from his days as an EMT.
